Pictures from the 2016 host city selection day!

Sadly Chicago did not get the vote for the 2016 games. Working at the OTC (Olympic Training Center) provided for an interesting perspective during the day. Excitement was all through the campus as the employees and community members gathered in the USOC visitor's center for free food, Chicago promo material and the watch party. I had made it over for some of the festivities early in the morning and planned on heading back around 10:00 to watch the final vote happen around 10:30-11:00. As I sat in my office, however, I heard a giant shout of, "Oh No!" sound from down the hall. It was my boss, he was the first to alert us that Chicago had not been picked.

I ad taken my camera to work that day hoping to get some shots after the final vote but since I was not over there during the first round of voting I was only able to grab it and go get a few shots of shocked people leaving the visitor's center. The pics aren't much but here they are.
