Hello Blog! It's been a long time. :)

Ok so I haven't blogged in awhile but I have been SUPER busy! I drove back home three weeks ago and spent a few days in Topeka visiting Micah then I headed back to Rich Hill. I was able to go shopping with my best friend Brittany Hood and help her buy her fiance's wedding band. We also checked out some bridesmaids dresses together since I am her maid of honor. I was also able to hang out with my parents, brother and my brother from another mother Matt. I spent a day with my grandma and my 3 little girl cousins who are not so little anymore! I was able to eat dinner with grandpa twice and look through some old photos with him. I enjoyed a day with my mom shopping at flea markets. Lastly, I took portrait of a beautiful new baby girl. Her parents are friends of mine from high school.

After I left Rich Hill I headed toward Columbia to see some old friends. It was a great chance to see everyone again as well as take care of a couple of things :). I had planned to visit that weekend because my old roomie, Meredith Nash, was in town playing softball. She used to play for MU but just this year transferred to Ball State and is playing there. I was able to catch two of her games while in town. The other big thing I did while back at my Alma Mater was throw a bachelorette party/bridal shower for my very good friend Danielle Gerts. It was a GREAT time! After my weekend in Columbia I headed back to spend a couple days in Topeka visiting Micah and then made the long drive back to the Rockies.

It was good to get back home but I only had half a day to rest because I had company coming!!! Soa Ha and Katie Manaois decided to spend part of their Spring Break visiting me here in Colorado Springs. It has been a blast but tomorrow I take them to the airport. I have so many pictures and even videos to share! I hopefully will get those up soon as well as share a VERY interesting blog about my return journey to Colorado Springs. It was definitely a road trip for the books. :) Before I go I will leave you will a preview of all the fun pictures to come!!

My newest projects :)

Well because I haven't had any recent opportunities to take some awesome pictures worthy of posting, I have been spending my time crafting. I also decided to pick up my sketching pencils the other day for a couple hours.

This is the first project I did. Its about 2 feet long and I have it hanging above my front door. The quote is actually from a movie I watched the other day and I really liked it.




This is the pencil sketch I did during the MU vs. kU game. It isn't the best but I am happy with it since I finished before the game was over.

Not much going on... but I did buy something pretty. :)

Well, I haven't actually taken a photo for a couple weeks and yes, it feels wrong. I just haven't done or went much of anywhere that deserved me busting out hercules (my Canon 40D). However I have set up a shop site on Etsy.com like mentioned before in one of the previous blog posts. I have also registered myself on Snapm.com to try and get my name out there. I have had some luck because I just booked another wedding this June! I am very excited because I have several that I am going to shoot now. They're sure to be fun times and to give me opportunities to take some great photos that I will add to my portfolio. I will definitely blog about the results too!

In fact one of the weddings is for my boyfriend's sister, Miss Alyssa Bennett, who just started blogging and can be found at "Snuggle Bug". There you will find the writings of a very crafty, cool chick. I hope you check it out for her and let her know I sent you there! :)

Lastly I leave you with one photo of a cute locket that I have recently purchased from Etsy! I am excited to get it in the mail so I can put Micah and I's picture in it.
