ANOTHER MOVE! Why? Because I got an AWESOME JOB!

Ok, well I know I just barely moved into this new apartment under 2 weeks ago BUT I am moving on. It's a great place and I hate to see it go but I LOVE to see my new job coming! I will be working (and living) in Colorado Springs.

I recently was hired by the United States Olympic Committee! I will get to travel to different events and competitions, including the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. What I will be doing is making packages (video stories like on the news) for the USOC website. I am really excited and fly out Monday to find an apartment. I will definitely miss my friends, family, Micah and MU while I am in Colorado but I am ready for this adventure! OH! Also since I will be out on my own I plan on getting a dog. I want a french bulldog :)

Nose-y Neighbor!

I live in the bottom half of a two story duplex and my kitchen looks out to this.



The guy who lives upstairs is actually the landlord and his "roommate" likes to spy on me. :) The dog is a Great Dane and is HUGE! I actually joke sometimes to friends and family and tell them about the horse that lives upstairs. Now don't get me wrong, I feel so much safer with this gal outside my place as a watch dog BUT the other day while cleaning the dishes the dog scared the crap out of me when I looked up to see her standing there watching me through the window. LOL I screamed, the dog barked but all is well now. I have gotten use to seeing her outside my window.

All moved in...

I haven't posted in a few days because I have been super busy packing up my life and moving it into a new apartment. We were able to move everything into my new place on Saturday but all I had time to unpack that night was my bedding so I could sleep! Then Micah and I spent Sunday and most of Monday in St. Louis visiting his family. Now I am back in my apartment and have a lot of work ahead of me. I hope to get it all done in the next day or two and then get caught up on the rest of my life. One of the things that I include in that get-caught-up-on-the-rest-of-my-life category would be to add more pics up on this blog. I have some very interesting Chicago pictures and storm pictures to add, so be on the lookout. :)

Living like a Vampire...

Cue the insomnia. Here I am again, its 4:30 am and for the third night this week I have went to bed early only to wake after a couple hours and not be able to sleep again. What good is trying to break my habit of being a night owl? I have tried going to bed before midnight the past 3 nights only to wake about 3 or 4 hours later wide awake. Awesome. So what is a person like me to do? The rest of the world is asleep and sadly I don't have the abilities that other night dwellers have. I can't fly and fight crime like Batman, I can't run fast and I don't have super strength like Edward Cullen and I can't turn into a wolf like Remus Lupin... so again I ask what is a normal person like me suppose to do?

This post is more of an asking for tips vs. giving them. Does anyone have any advice for the sleeping impaired? I would gladly accept them!

Softball, Sunset and Stars!

Well the last of July left me with some awesome shots to remember it by! I attended the last softball game of the season for my boyfriend Micah and was able to shoot the game and the sunset.
